Event organiser DreamHack has announced that DreamHack Winter and DreamHack Anaheim will each play host to Fortnite community tournaments.

Both tournaments will have a $250,000 (£202,837) prize pool up for grabs, with guaranteed participation for anyone that has purchased a BYOC ticket.

First up, DreamHack Winter will take place in Jönköping, Sweden, from November 29th to December 1st and then DreamHack Anaheim will be from February 21st-23rd, 2020.

Marcus Lindmark, Co-CEO of DreamHack discussed the events: “We are extremely happy to be able to bring this huge tournament to our festivals. It really gives the core of the DreamHack festivals, the visitors, a chance to play for the big money. With the support of Epic Games, we’re now writing DreamHack history by setting up the biggest community tournaments to date which couldn’t be more perfect as we celebrate 25 years of DreamHack.”

As stated in a release, DreamHack Winter will be the biggest Fortnite tournament ever to be held in the Nordics. DreamHack Anaheim’s tournament will also claim the spot as the largest community tournament ever held at a DreamHack event in the United States. The tournament will be played using Fortnite’s solo mode. Additional ways to participate in the tournament are also set to be announced soon.
