Epic Games, after months of silence and waiting, has finally unveiled some more details about the Fortnite World Cup scheduled in the summer
After announcing the Fortnite World Cup and investing one hundred million dollars for the 2018-2019 competitive season in May of a year ago, Epic Games has officially announced the dates of the long-awaited final phase.
The Fortnite World Cup will be held in New York from July 26th to 28th 2019 with the biggest prize money on the export scene: 30 million Dollars; even richer than The International by DOTA 2, which reached 25.5 million dollars for last year’s world championship.
The selection process for the American event will consist of ten open weekly online qualifiers to be held from April 13th to June 16th. Players who participate in qualifiers compete for $ 1 million each week.
Finally, the finals of the Fortnite World Cup will be composed of the first 100 Qualified Solo players and 50 Duo teams from around the world. All participants in the final will be guaranteed 50,000 dollars, while the “Solo” mode champion will receive 3 million dollars.
