Nintendo eliminates two mobile games in Belgium: “The proposed loot boxes are illegal gambling”

A partire dal 27 agosto la Nintendo eliminerà due giochi per dispositivi mobili in Belgio perché rientrerebbero tra i giochi d’azzardo

It is a consequence of the harsh Belgian anti loot box policy, a mechanism that allows for lives or items to be paid for during games. And this form, according to the Government, constitutes illegal gambling. The games removed are “Fire Emblem Heroes” and “Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp” and the creator announced the cancellation. The decision of the Japanese giant not to make the two videogames more available is an attempt to avoid regulatory actions by the Belgian government.
