Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat signed the “Malta’s Vision for Video Game Development and Esports”
It is a revolutionary plan for the sector that provides a series of incentives for the development of eSports and that in fact candidates the Mediterranean island as a reference point for the future in the world of video games. Muscat did not hide his passion for video games and at the signing he declared that “The videogame industry could represent 1% of our internal product as well as a big European hub”.
Silvio Schembri, who has the delegation to the Digital Economy, added that Malta is ready to become one of the most important centers for major international eSports events and that the investment plan will lead to another three thousand jobs.
