The Nevada Gaming Control Board have approved wagers to be accepted on the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series and Dota 2’s event ESL One Los Angeles.

The Control Board issued a pair of releases on April 3rd outlining its intentions and regulatory requirements for the state’s licensed sportsbooks to accept wagers on the two esports events.

The 2020 eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series has been given the green light to accept wagers on winners, as well as matchups between drivers; as for ESL One Los Angeles, three wager types have been approved: head to head, match winner, and overall winner.

As with the regulator’s previous esports offerings, wagers are subject to a set of specific conditions. Official rules provided by the event organiser must be posted on the sanctioning body’s website, and Nevada licensees must notify the Enforcement Division of its intent to accept bets. For eNASCAR iRacing, sportsbooks must ensure consumers are aware of varying results provided by the difference in simulators and equipment which could produce varying results.

In-play betting will not be available for either competition, and the Control Board has strictly stated the “acceptance of wagers must cease prior to the start” of each match and race. The setting of odds will be at the discretion of each sportsbook, with governing rules for wagers made available to the public. All match results should be based on a permissible source in accordance with regulatory guidelines, according to the NGCB.

Sportsbook William Hill has already delivered its intent to accept wagers on both eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series and ESL One Los Angeles through its mobile application.

In the last two weeks, the NGCB approved wagers on ESL Meisterschaft and ESL Pro League Season 11: North America in a pair of keystone decisions. With this news, sim racing and Dota 2 will join Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in the myriad of esports offerings from licensed Nevada bookmakers
