EA SPORTS™, CONMEBOL and LVP (MEDIAPRO Group) announced the details for the much-anticipated first edition of the CONMEBOL eLibertadores Final which will be held on March 15, 16, and 17, 2021

The competition, organized by CONMEBOL and EA SPORTS, and produced by LVP (MEDIAPRO Group), expands the EA SPORTS FIFA 21 Global Series offering top players and South American football fans a new way to engage through elite esports competition connected to CONMEBOL Libertadores.

“South American football fans are known for their unrivaled passion for the sport and connecting esports to the premier continental tournament in the CONMEBOL Libertadores will greatly enhance the connection to the sport,” said Brent Koning, Group Director & Commissioner, FIFA Competitive Gaming. 

The CONMEBOL eLibertadores Finals will feature three simultaneous broadcasts in English, Portuguese and Spanish, which audiences can follow on the EA SPORTS Twitch channels in the region (Spanish – Portuguese – English) and through Directv and SBT.

Fans can watch the broadcast on March 15 at 16:00 hrs ARG/BR & with the show starting on the 16-17 at 15:00 ARG/BR.

The tournament has a prize pool of $100,000 USD, which will be covered by EA SPORTS™ and distributed among the 16 players based on their final ranking. In addition, the top three finalists from each platform will earn direct seats on the South American Playoff.

Players will not be the only ones winning prizes, as viewers will also be gifted tokens during the broadcast to later use as in-game items Viewers will be eligible to receive EA SPORTS FIFA Global Series Swaps Player Tokens that can be turned into FUT21 pack rewards.

To be eligible, viewers need to link their Twitch and EA Accounts at www.ea.com/twitchlinking and watch the broadcast for more than 60 minutes.

The tournament will be online, with players at home competing for glory.  

The broadcast will be hosted by presenters and commentators such as Cayetano, Sebas Fernández, Javier Muñoz, Bruno Sampieri and Mauro Sironi for the Spanish broadcast; and Thiago Arantes, Rodrigol, MuuhPro and One Jorge for the one in Portuguese.
