The grand final of the Superliga Orange, the Spanish League of Legends competition organized by LVP (MEDIAPRO Group), ended last Friday with the victory of Movistar Riders over G2 Arctic (3-0) and with a new audience record for the LVP coffers: more than 265,000 viewers followed the match that closed the summer season online, 11% more than the amount harvested in spring, when the final rose to 238,000 viewers.
The final was the culmination of a playoff phase that has exceeded 829,000 accumulated unique spectators, counting the semifinals and final, and which rises above the 1.2 million accumulated unique spectators if we also take into account the two quarterfinal games.
In total, Superliga Orange closed the best season in its history at the level of ‘online’ audiences with 4.6 million viewers accumulated between the regular season and the playoffs, which represents a growth of 7% compared to last year.
The average number of viewers per program has also been the
highest ever seen on LVP: 204,000 viewers.
The entire competition was also available to TV viewers to follow on the UBEAT channel.
In a split clearly marked by the pandemic and the impossibility of holding face-to-face events, LVP has reinforced online broadcasts, given new uses to studios and promoted the use of Jcams to extend the competition’s reach to fans, ensuring that audiences continue to grow .

G2 Esports take the LEC with record-breaking audience numbers
The League of Legends weekend was rounded out on Sunday with the LEC Grand Final, the largest Riot Games’ competition in Europe.
The G2 Esports team once again hoisted the trophy after winning the title to become top team in Europe after beating Fnatic in a final that, as was the case with the Superliga Orange, was resolved fast track: 3-0 and the eighth title for the trophy cabinet of the winning team owned by Spain’s Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez.
It is also the sixth consecutive championship for Danish Rasmus “Caps” Borregaard, without a doubt the best player in the final and in Europe.
The retransmission of LVP in Spanish once again marked a historic milestone insofar as the LEC is concerned. And in this case, twice: the final exceeded 311,000 unique viewers, 21% more than the previous record achieved in the 2020 spring final; and reached a peak of 83,136 concurrent viewers, slightly higher than the 81,495 registered for last year’s event.
